Orange Rolls

INGREDIENTS:
1 pkg. Yeast (or 1 TBSP)
¼ C. water
(dissolve in yeast add a few T. of sugar to help yeast and let it sit)
1 C. scalded milk, cool to luke warm
½ C. Shortening
1/3 C. Sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 tsp. grated orange peel
Juice of 1 orange (need some for glaze)2 Cups of flour

DIRECTIONS:
Combine all to yeast. Stir until smooth. Add 3-3 & ¼ cups more flour. Knead. Let rise, then roll out dough and cut into 1 inch strips. Tie in knots. Let rise. Bake 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

GLAZE:
1 C. powdered sugar
1 tsp. Orange peel
2 T. Juice from Orange
Stir until smooth, brush on warm rolls. I personally like to double the glaze!

I made these on Sunday for the Mission-Prep class my dad is over. They were a hit. They have a hint of orange so even the non-organge roll eaters seem to love them too.
