Gingersnaps

I'm sure many of you have a good recipe for these cookies, but I thought I'd still share mine. I love how simple and quick these are to make and the numerous compliments I get from my husband.



3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses and beat well. Then add remainder and mix thoroughly. Shape dough by large tablespoons and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet and bake about 10 minutes @ 350.
